The third round of the WTA 1000 tournament in Madrid was successfully passed by three Ukrainian tennis players - Elina Svitolina, Marta Kostyuk, and Yuliia Starodubtseva. They demonstrated good play and achieved victories. Starodubtseva defeated the Italian Cocciaretto, Svitolina defeated the British Dart, and Kostyuk defeated the British Raducanu. In the third round, Starodubtseva will play against Samsonova, Svitolina will meet either Rybakina or Andreescu, and Kostyuk will compete against Kudermetova.

Despite the successful performance of the Ukrainian tennis players, an interview with Gael Monfils, Svitolina's husband, on the Russian propaganda channel 'Bol'shoye', caused conflicting situations. Monfils discussed his victory at the tournament in Madrid and expressed impatience for the match against Rublev.

The tournament 'Trophies of the Northern Palmira', which took place in Russia, was also the subject of discussion. The organizers of the tournament believe that it will contribute to the return of international competitions and sports diplomacy.

Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina called for the fight to return Ukrainian children who were kidnapped by Russia. Her appeal may gain support from many people and draw attention to this issue.
