France sent 10 million euros for the repair of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant's 'sarcophagus'. At the same Time, Paris urged other countries to join in financing the project.

'Today I visited Chernobyl to see the significant damage from the Russian 'Shahed' drone, which breached the protective sarcophagus built ten years ago by French companies to protect against radiation and to remove hazardous waste.'
French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrault reported that France was the first to send 10 million euros for the restoration of the 'sarcophagus', which was damaged by Russian shelling. He called on other countries to join in the financing.
During a visit to Ukraine, the French minister visited the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone together with the Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine, where he familiarized himself with the results of the works carried out on the new safe confinement and assessed the state of recovery of the damaged facility as a result of the drone attack from Russia.
Earlier, France expressed its desire to invest in drone production in Ukraine, which could lead to significant growth in drone manufacturing in the country.
