The Russian army struck the Sumy region

In the morning of May 17, the Russian army attacked the Sumy region, targeting a passenger bus, resulting in the death of nine people. This was reported by the Sumy regional administration and the National Police, according to 'Glavkom'.

The attack by the enemy caused the death of nine individuals, four of whom were injured.

Emergency services are working at the site.

The Russian army attacked public transport carrying passengers from Bilopillia to Sumy. It is noted that the attack occurred near Bilopillia, and the passenger bus sustained severe damage.

Representatives of the regional administration reported that the enemy used a 'Lancet' drone.

It is worth noting that the number of deaths as a result of the enemy attack in Sumy has risen to three. Five injured individuals are receiving treatment in the hospital. A non-residential building has been destroyed and two others have been damaged.

Additionally, information indicates that one person died at the scene, another died during transportation to the hospital, and a third individual died in a medical facility. The ages of the deceased were 36, 29, and 41 years.

Moreover, on the night of May 3, Russian troops carried out an airstrike on the Shostka community in the Sumy region; fortunately, no one was injured as a result of this shelling.

Infrastructure facilities, residential buildings, an educational institution, social facilities, and vehicles were damaged in the community.

During this attack, the enemy inflicted significant damage on the civilian population and infrastructure of the region. This once again confirms the brutality and ruthlessness of Russian aggression in Ukraine, which has led to numerous tragic consequences.
