According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of May 5, 2025, Russian occupiers have suffered significant losses.

Russia's losses in the war as of May 5, 2025

Currently, Russian losses in the war with Ukraine amount to:

  • personnel - about 958070 individuals (an increase of 1260 individuals),
  • tanks - 10763 units (an increase of 5 units),
  • armored combat vehicles - 22411 units (an increase of 8 units),
  • artillery systems - 27370 units (an increase of 43 units),
  • missile-artillery systems - 1377 units (an increase of 1 unit),
  • air defense systems - 1155 units (remained unchanged),
  • planes - 370 units (remained unchanged),
  • helicopters - 335 units (remained unchanged),
  • operational-tactical unmanned aerial vehicles - 34997 units (an increase of 137 units),
  • cruise missiles - 3196 units (remained unchanged),
  • ships / boats - 28 units (remained unchanged),
  • submarines - 1 unit (remained unchanged),
  • automotive and fuel tank trucks - 47250 units (an increase of 109 units),
  • special equipment - 3870 units (remained unchanged).

Enemy fleet activity as of May 5

  • In the Black Sea, there is one enemy ship that is a carrier of cruise missiles 'Kalibr' and can launch up to six missiles;
  • In the Sea of Azov, there are no enemy ships;
  • In the Mediterranean Sea, there are three enemy ships, one of which is a carrier of cruise missiles 'Kalibr' and can launch up to eight missiles.

Over the past day, in the interests of the Russian Federation, through the Kerch Strait passed:

  • to the Black Sea - seven vessels, all of which continued their movement towards the Bosporus Strait;
  • to the Sea of Azov - eight vessels, two of which continued their movement from the Bosporus Strait.

Analysis:

According to the information, the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to dominate over the Russian occupiers, inflicting significant losses on their military machinery and personnel. The enemy fleet has also been hindered and does not pose a serious threat. Continuing such activity by the Ukrainian Armed Forces may lead to further degradation of the combat readiness of Russian troops and the liberation of occupied territories.
