Introduction to the EU. Ukrainians abroad appealed to the European Parliament.

The coordination platform of Ukrainians has appealed to the European Parliament
The coordination platform of Ukrainians abroad, Strichka, has submitted a petition to the European Parliament, calling for the immediate admission of Ukraine to the EU to enhance European security and deter Russian threats. This was reported by 'Glavcom' referencing the official website of the organization.
«Russian aggression poses a serious threat not only to Ukraine but to all of Europe. The integration of Ukraine into the EU is a necessary condition for forming an effective defense strategy and strengthening collective European security», - states the petition.
The petition calls on the European Parliament:
- To implement an accelerated procedure for Ukraine's accession to the EU.
- To ensure targeted financing for Ukraine's integration, its economic recovery, military-technical cooperation, and reforms.
- To plan a clear roadmap for EU expansion by 2030 with specific indicators and steps.
Resistance to negotiations regarding Moldova and Ukraine's EU membership
The European Union may separate the accession process of Moldova and Ukraine due to Hungary's resistance in the negotiations with Ukraine. European Commissioner Marta Kos expressed the possibility of separately considering these countries during the EU expansion in June.
It should be noted that Ukraine has ambitious plans in the field of Euro-integration and aims to be ready to join the EU by the end of 2025.
