Explosion at Warsaw Airport
An explosion occurred in the baggage sorting area of Frederic Chopin International Airport in Warsaw. According to local media, the cause of the explosion was a passenger's suitcase containing biological material samples for research and dry ice.
It is noted that it was the dry ice that caused the explosion; however, no one was injured in the incident, and the biomaterial remained intact. Evacuation of the airport was not necessary.
Explosion at Miyazaki Airport
An explosion also occurred at Miyazaki Airport in Japan, leading to the suspension of all flights. According to reports, the explosion happened on one of the taxiways. It was discovered to be an American bomb from World War II, which was hidden at the airfield. This incident created a large crater and led to the cancellation of 80 flights. An investigation was initiated.
The Ministry of Defense reported that several unexploded bombs dropped by American forces during World War II have already been found in this area.
