Usyk became a Doctor of Philosophy in Law
Oleksandr Usyk, the world champion in the heavyweight division by WBC, WBA, WBO, and IBO versions, has obtained a Doctor of Philosophy degree. He successfully defended his dissertation at the Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs in the field of 'Law'.
The subject of Usyk's dissertation was dedicated to 'Administrative and legal support of international cooperation in the field of physical culture and sports'. He studied in the department of postgraduate and doctoral studies of KhNUVS since October 2021.
Usyk spoke about his house in Vorzel and politics
Usyk decided to demolish his house in Vorzel, where Russians lived earlier in 2022, due to its poor technical condition. Currently, the boxer lives in another house near Kyiv.
At the same Time, Usyk stated that he does not plan to engage in politics, even though he is often offered this. He sees his future only in the field of sports and has many projects for its development. And although he may become the Minister of Sports of Ukraine, he does not want to become a politician.
Negotiations about the fight with Daniel Dubois
Oleksandr Krasyuk, Usyk's promoter, stated that negotiations are underway for the organization of a match between Usyk and British boxer Daniel Dubois for the title of absolute world champion. This fight may take place in Great Britain.
Usyk in the ranking of the highest-paid athletes
According to the results of 2024, Usyk ranked seventh in the list of the highest-paid athletes. Experts estimate his income at $122 million for the past year.
