Ukraine will be covered by a wave of cold with wet snow: weather forecast for the weekend.


The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center predicts significant cooling with light and moderate snowfall across the country.
According to the meteorological service, on December 14, predominantly dry weather is expected with slight precipitation in the Carpathian region. The temperature at night will range from -9 to -14 degrees Celsius, and during the day from -1 to -6 degrees Celsius.
In the southern and western regions, the temperature will fluctuate between -3 and -9 degrees Celsius at night and from -2 degrees Celsius to +3 degrees during the day.
Forecast for December 15
The forecast for December 15 predicts a more complex meteorological situation. Moderate snowfall is expected almost across the country, and there could be rain in the south. The temperature range will be from -5 degrees Celsius to +2 degrees Celsius. Meteorologists warn of the possibility of ice forming on roadways.
The wind is forecasted to be northwestern, gradually shifting to a southwestern direction, with speeds of 5-12 meters per second. In the western regions, gusts of 15-20 meters per second are expected.
Forecast for Kyiv
In the capital, on December 14, dry weather is expected with temperatures at night from -9 to -11 degrees Celsius and during the day up to -5 degrees. The wind will be south-western at a speed of 5-10 meters per second.
On December 15, Kyiv will also be covered by a snow cover. Light snow is predicted at night and during the day with temperatures ranging from -2 to +1 degrees Celsius. The wind will be westerly, at a speed of 7-12 meters per second.
