Ukrainians save electricity and support the development of alternative energy - survey.


According to the sociological survey 'Rating', 96% of Ukrainians use electricity sparingly.
Specifically, 74% always try to save electricity, 22% do so from Time to time, and 4% do not do this.
Most of the respondents (83%) support the idea of financial compensation for saving electricity as a stimulus mechanism. However, 15% consider this initiative unnecessary.
According to the survey, 93% of respondents always pay their electricity bills on time, 6% do so from time to time, and only 1% do not pay them on time.
Approximately 90% of respondents plan to spend the winter period at their permanent place of residence, while 10% plan to change their place of residence. In particular, young people and residents of the East are more likely to indicate relocation plans.
95% of respondents support the idea of increasing electricity production from alternative sources (such as solar and wind power plants).
Most respondents (80%) consider the development of nuclear energy to be necessary. Specifically, 38% find it definitely necessary, 40% - rather necessary. However, 12% consider it rather unnecessary, and 5% - definitely unnecessary.
Almost 80% of respondents have a positive attitude towards the construction of nuclear blocks at the Khmelnytskyi NPP. 17% oppose this initiative. The completion of the energy blocks is particularly supported by young people and residents of the eastern regions.
