Ukrainians submitted nearly 11 thousand applications for missing persons.

The Secretariat of the Commissioner for Missing Persons under Special Circumstances has received over 10,800 applications for individuals who are missing under specified conditions.
The Commissioner for Missing Persons under Special Circumstances, Artur Dobroserdov, reported this.
All applications are included in the accounts formed in the Unified Register of Missing Persons under Special Circumstances.
'Filling out the application by relatives or friends of the missing person or any other person who has information about the missing individual (friends, comrades, etc.) is one of the tools to assist in the search for missing persons. Attaching applications to the accounts of the Unified Register of Missing Persons under Special Circumstances allows state authorities authorized to account for and/or search for them, including the National Police of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine, the Office of the Prosecutor General, and the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War, to use the information contained within them. Moreover, this is one way to obtain more detailed information about the missing person that may have previously not been considered, including call signs, presence of tattoos, personal belongings, and with whom (in which group of servicemen) they went missing', - he noted.
The application contains important information about the missing person, such as photographs, a description of appearance, circumstances of disappearance, etc. The collection and analysis of such data can help establish possible locations of the missing person, assist in identifying witnesses, or other important evidence. The more information there is about the missing person, the greater the chances of their return to their family.
