Ukrainians will have to change their driver's licenses: new requirements introduced.

Ukraine is preparing innovations in the field of issuing driver's licenses. According to the draft law, the validity period of licenses will now be reduced to 10-15 years, instead of 30 as before. This will apply to both new and already issued licenses indefinitely.
“This document has already been submitted by the government for consideration by the parliament. According to its terms, the validity period of driver's licenses will be reduced to 10-15 years depending on the category of vehicle. Importantly, these restrictions will apply not only to new licenses but also to those that are already considered indefinite.”
Moreover, drivers who violate traffic rules or accumulate a critical number of penalty points will have to pass both theoretical and practical tests to obtain a new license.
Eurointegration and road safety
These changes are taking place as part of reforms for eurointegration and aim to enhance road safety according to EU standards. It is important to monitor the legislative processes and plan the exchange of driver's licenses in advance. Additional information and deadlines can be found on the official portal of the Verkhovna Rada.
