A memorandum on the minerals agreement was signed between Ukraine and the United States of America, which is an important step towards a joint Economic Partnership Agreement. This was reported by the Minister of Finance of Ukraine, Yulia Svyrydenko.

The minister noted that the parties are actively working on creating an Investment Fund for the reconstruction of Ukraine. This agreement will allow massive investments, modernize infrastructure, and develop mutually beneficial cooperation between the countries.

'It is important that we confirm with our agreements the aspirations of the American people to jointly invest with the Ukrainian people in a free, sovereign, and secure Ukraine,' emphasized the minister.

The signed memorandum demonstrates the constructive joint work of the teams from both countries and the intention to conclude an agreement that will be beneficial for both nations. The next stages will be the finalization of the agreement text, its signing, and ratification by the parliaments of both countries.

The minister also expressed gratitude to the Ukrainian and American technical teams for their professional, constructive, and prompt work on the document.
