Ukraine allowed unlimited correspondence for Russian prisoners of war.

UKRAINIAN GOVERNMENT: RUSSIAN PRISONERS OF WAR CAN SEND AND RECEIVE LETTERS WITHOUT RESTRICTIONS
The Ukrainian government has approved new rules that allow Russian prisoners of war to send and receive letters without any restrictions. This information was published on the official government website. According to the new rules, letters will be handed over by camp staff or individuals designated by the Coordination Headquarters in the presence of the prisoners of war. Additionally, the document states that if a prisoner refuses to open an envelope and present its contents, this will be done by camp representatives or the Coordination Headquarters in the presence of several prisoners of war. All letters will be censored in accordance with Article 76 of the Geneva Convention, and prohibited items that are discovered will be removed.
According to the information, 175 Ukrainian defenders have already been freed from Russian captivity, and another 22 defenders will return home thanks to measures outside of exchanges. It is worth noting that earlier the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine allowed phone calls to prisoners of war with the approval of the Coordination Headquarters. Now they will also be able to send and receive letters without any restrictions.
However, it should be noted that Russian prisoners have very comfortable conditions in Ukrainian prisons, complicating their exchange for Ukrainian defenders. Many of them refuse to return to Russia as they have worse conditions there than in captivity. This was stated by Ukrainian journalist Volodymyr Zolkin, who interviews the captives.
