Germany made a surprising decision regarding weapons for Ukraine.

The German government is keeping arms supplies to Ukraine secret
After three years of broad transparency, the new federal government of Germany plans to keep most of its arms supplies to Ukraine secret again. The main goal of this step is to ensure that the Ukrainian aggressor does not gain an advantage in the war.
According to Spiegel, the government led by Chancellor Olaf Scholz is shying away from public debates about arms supplies, preferring a strategy of less openness. Earlier, since June 2022, Germany published a list of all arms supplies online after public pressure.
Scholz explained the change in approach as a strategic necessity and the importance of ensuring Ukraine's security.
The policy of keeping arms supplies secret has been overthrown by Friedrich Merz, who is close to the Chancellor, and decided to restore the practice of non-disclosure regarding arms supplies to Ukraine, initiated under the government of Olaf Scholz. This shift in policy is also affecting the issue of supplying the Taurus cruise missile.
