Moscow airports suspended operations due to drones

Moscow airports Vnukovo, Domodedovo, and Zhukovsky temporarily stopped accepting and sending flights for several hours during the day on May 25. This decision was made to ensure flight safety, as reported by Rosaviation representative Artem Korenyako to Russian media.

Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin informed about three drones heading to the capital of the Russian Federation, but they were shot down by air defense systems. Sobyanin did not provide further details.

On the night of May 25, Moscow airports suspended operations several times. The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that 110 Ukrainian drones were shot down over 12 regions and occupied Crimea.

Unfortunately, recently, drones also attacked the Energiya JSC plant in the city of Yelets, which produces batteries for military drones. This facility is crucial for the production of chemical power sources used in various areas of military technology.

Such events have led to some inconvenience and interruptions in the work of airports and industries. The situation is alarming and requires attention and consideration from social and political authorities.
