Head Coach of the Women's Biathlon Team of Ukraine Summarizes the Season.


The head coach of the women's biathlon team of Ukraine, Mykola Zots, summarized the 2024/2025 season. The Ukrainian biathlon team concludes the season with performances at the national championship in Bukovel. Before this, the team participated in nine stages of the World Cup and the World Championship.
As a result of the season, the women's team of Ukraine finished in 8th place in the Nations Cup standings and maintained a quota of five biathletes for the individual races of the World Cup for the 2025/26 season. The team's best result was demonstrated by Yulia Jima, who finished 4th in the sprint in Annecy.
Mykola Zots, after the end of the season, spoke about the formation of the team for the next season. He noted that despite a challenging season, positive moments can be seen, including the rejuvenation of the team with the emergence of new athletes such as Olena Horodna and Sasha Merkushina. The coach also expressed satisfaction with the team's performance and the progress of Yulia Jima.
