The singer and combat medic explained why women are needed in the army.

Combat medic and singer Anastasia Shevchenko, known by the pseudonym Stasіk, explained why women are needed in the army.
The truth is that Ukraine is at war, and we will not win the war without women in the army. We are a small country, there are few of us. If we did not have a war, men could engage in some kind of debate that this is our men's business, this is our closed community, we do not want women here. But it doesn't work like that, we won't win the war this way. There are few men. Men are 50% of the country's population. Some of them are pensioners, children, have disabilities, have left, are reserved. We need people. It is not the army that needs women, it is women that the army needs.
According to the combat medic, the army must adapt to the needs of women because it is necessary for the country.
A large number of changes that seem necessary in the army as if for women are actually not needed by women. They are needed by everyone. That is, women's uniforms — this is a trifle. It is not very important. The major changes that the army essentially needs are related to issues of internal security, assessment of the professional quality of soldiers. Once there is a clear understanding of the professional qualities required for a particular position, the issue of the gender of the person who holds this position will automatically disappear.
Earlier, the Ministry of Defense reported on the positions that women claim in the army.
