SBU and AFU destroyed Russian radar station "Kasta" - the enemy's eyes in Zaporizhzhia.

The military counterintelligence of the Security Service of Ukraine, together with the Armed Forces of Ukraine, successfully destroyed the Russian long-range radar station 39N6 "Kasta-2E2" in the Zaporizhzhia direction, as reported by the official SBU channel on August 14, 2024.
According to the intelligence service, the cost of the destroyed radar station depends on its configuration and starts at $60 million. This station played a significant role in the air defense system of the occupiers and controlled the airspace of Ukraine.
"The enemy hid it in the rear, carefully camouflaged it and frequently redeployed it," noted the SBU.
Despite this, military counterintelligence officers from the 13th Main Directorate of the SBU managed to track the radar and strike it for destruction.
The successful operation was facilitated by contributions from Ukrainians. The "Come Back Alive" fund purchased a set of equipment for reconnaissance and detection of enemy radars, which included a ground station for UAVs, a minibus, laptops, power supply, and communication, and handed it over to the SBU unit.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, various units of the Security Service of Ukraine have destroyed 166 Russian air defense systems and 446 electronic warfare equipment, as well as electronic and electronic intelligence systems on the front line.
