Russia has classified economic statistics: what is the Kremlin hiding

The Ukrainian intelligence has reported serious problems in the Russian economy. In particular, difficulties are noted in the coal industry, oil refining, construction, automotive industry, and logistics. These sectors are very important for the Russian budget, but they are currently facing serious issues. The situation is especially challenging in the processing sector, where stagnation is noted in more than half of the economy.

According to intelligence:

'The main reason is that over 40% of enterprises in Russia owe three times more than they have in profit. This leads to them becoming increasingly dependent on creditors as bank lending becomes expensive and inaccessible.'
Analysts indicated that in order to avoid causing panic among the population due to the financial crisis, the authorities decided to impose restrictions on information regarding the economy and foreign trade, declaring it a state secret. Now only selective data beneficial to the authorities will be published to calm the public.
