Christmas Race-2024 in Biathlon: Ukraine's Place.


On Saturday, December 28, the traditional annual Christmas Race in biathlon took place in Gelsenkirchen, Germany. Ten teams participated, including the Ukrainian national team, represented by Yulia Dzhima and Dmytro Pidruchnyi.
The Christmas Race consisted of two parts of a mixed relay - mass start and pursuit. Winners were determined based on the pursuit results.
The Ukrainians finished the mass start in third place, with Norway in first place and France in second.
In the pursuit, the 'blue-yellow' team could not remain among the prize winners. The Ukrainian team finished in seventh place.
The victory in the Christmas Race was claimed by Norwegians Karoline Knotten and Sturla Laegreid.

It should be noted that for Dzhima and Pidruchnyi, this is already their third joint participation in the Christmas Race. Last year, Yulia and Dmytro finished fifth in the show race in Gelsenkirchen.
