South Korea postpones servicing of Taurus missiles due to Ukraine.

South Korea is considering the possibility of postponing the technical servicing of German Taurus missiles for five years due to a lack of spare parts from a Japanese supplier. This was reported by the Yonhap agency.
«The Air Force has decided to postpone the basic technical servicing of the Taurus 350K missiles for five years due to instability in the supply of parts related to the engine», the agency's message said.
The original plan was to start servicing the missiles in 2025. Korea purchased Taurus missiles in 2015 and agreed to conduct major technical servicing once every ten years.
It is worth noting that Ukraine rejected South Korea's request for arms sales due to export difficulties, which are limited by legislation regarding conflict zones. Secretary of State Kanulyn Umerov met with President Yoon Suk Yeol and Defense Minister Kim Yong-gun to discuss other issues of military cooperation, including the Cheongung surface-to-air missile systems and other air defense means such as radar systems and artillery shells.
