South Korea to allocate funds for Grain from Ukraine.


South Korea plans to provide humanitarian aid amounting to 6 million dollars under the Grain from Ukraine initiative. This information was disclosed by Kan Insun, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of South Korea. She also stated the country's intention to strengthen cooperation to address the global food crisis.
The Grain from Ukraine program was launched in Ukraine in 2022. Its goal is to provide essential food to countries in Africa, Asia, and the Middle East, where there is hunger and potential hunger issues.
With the assistance of the United Nations World Food Programme, 30 countries and international organizations joined the Grain from Ukraine initiative. Since the program's inception and until the end of 2023, 170 thousand tons of grain have been delivered to countries with the most severe food situations, including Ethiopia, Somalia, Kenya, and Yemen.
