Disability pension in Ukraine: PFU named the required work experience for payments.

The press service of the Pension Fund of Ukraine reported who can receive a disability pension.
In Ukraine, people who have lost the ability to work are entitled to a disability pension if they have a certain work experience. This information is regulated by Article 32 of the Law 'On Mandatory State Pension Insurance'.
The status of disability can be assigned to a person regardless of employment or the presence of a job.
To receive a disability pension, one must undergo a medical and social examination, during which the reason and group of disability are established, as well as the duration for which this status is assigned.
The right to a pension depends on the group of disability and the presence of the necessary insurance experience.
If a person has reached retirement age, the disability pension is granted for life.
The amount of the pension depends on the group of disability and constitutes 100%, 90%, or 50% of the old-age pension.
It is important to apply for the disability pension within three months after receiving the conclusion of the MSE so that the pension is calculated from the date the disability was established.
There are special cases when a disability pension is granted regardless of work experience. This applies to individuals who became disabled during military service or as a result of injuries during the Revolution of Dignity.
These exceptions are created for the social protection of individuals who need special attention.
