Shelling of Odesa - The son-in-law of the former head of the Odesa Regional State Administration was wounded.


The son-in-law of the former head of the Odesa Regional State Administration, Serhiy Hrynevetskyi, Hryhoriy Melnychenko, was wounded during the raid on Odesa. An explosion from a drone shattered a window in his car, and a shard of glass cut the ear of the ex-official.

Melnychenko's Injury
Hryhoriy Melnychenko posted a video in which he explained that as a result of the 'Shahed' explosion, the window of his car was broken. A shard of glass grazed the ear of the former head of the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi District Council. During the attack, he was driving along Henuezka Street in Odesa.
'I was driving along Henuezka, a 'Shahed' was flying, after the explosion the glass was broken. The side window was open. A shard scratched my ear. So during the alert, don't roam on the street!' — says Hryhoriy Melnychenko in the video.
Who is Hryhoriy Melnychenko
From 2020 to 2023, Hryhoriy Melnychenko held the position of head of the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi District Council and was a deputy from the 'Trust the Deeds' party. He is the son-in-law of the former head of the Odesa Regional State Administration, Serhiy Hrynevetskyi.
He was removed from office after becoming a figure in a criminal case regarding the theft of a boat near the State Environmental Inspection of the Southwestern District, valued at 2.7 million hryvnias. After that, the NACP discovered discrepancies in his declarations amounting to 60 million hryvnias.
As a result of the raid on Odesa, the son-in-law of the ex-head of the ODA, Serhiy Hrynevetskyi, Hryhoriy Melnychenko, was wounded. He sustained injuries during the explosion of the drone, which shattered the window of his vehicle, and a shard of glass injured his ear. The incident occurred while Melnychenko was on Henuezka Street. Currently, the circumstances and motives of the attack remain unknown.
