Russian spies attempted to obtain secret Ukrainian developments

Employees of the Security Service of Ukraine revealed an attempt by Russian special services to gain access to secret Ukrainian developments in the military sector. In the Odesa region, a 47-year-old engineer was detained for spying in favor of the FSB. At the direction of the occupiers, the agent was to obtain secret documentation on the production of spare parts for military vehicles of the Armed Forces, by infiltrating a local factory that carries out defense orders.

The Security Service established that the engineer was carrying out tasks for the Russian special services, traveling around the region to locate combat positions and radar stations in the Odesa region. During the recruiting process, the Security Service seized from the detainee photos of technical documentation that he was to pass on to the enemy, as well as other materials related to work for the Russian Federation. The malefactor has been charged with treason, and he faces life imprisonment.

Quote from law enforcement: 'To do this, he was covering himself with his professional duties as an engineer and also tried to 'ingratiate' himself as quickly as possible with colleagues directly involved in the production process.'

A female FSB agent who corrected missile strikes was also detained in the Zhytomyr region

In addition, cyber specialists of the Security Service detained a 22-year-old female FSB agent in the Zhytomyr region, who was correcting missile and drone strikes from Russia in the region. She monitored the geolocation of backup command points and the routes of freight trains to relay this information to her curator. The agent planned to identify military trains and other important facilities for the enemy's special services. It is also noted that the Security Service detained four more people who were setting fire to various regions of Ukraine at the request of the Russian Federation.

Currently, these attempts by Russian special services to obtain important Ukrainian developments indicate a continuation of aggressive actions by Russia against Ukraine, but thanks to the work of the Security Service, these threats are being timely detected and neutralized, ensuring the safety of the country.
