Ukrainian Women's Football Championship: format and start date of the tournament in the first league.

According to plans, the new season of the Ukrainian women's first league championship for 2025/2026 will start on September 6. This was reported by 'Glavkom' citing UAF.

There will be 16 teams in the first league competing in two stages.

Group Stage

The first league will be held in a round-robin system over two rounds in groups A and B.

Final Stage

The two best teams from each group will advance to the playoff stage for the championship and prize positions. These matches include two games, played both at home and away.

In case of a tie after the playoff matches, the winner will be determined by a penalty shootout.

Each team will play 14 matches in the groups and two more in the final stage to determine the championship prizewinners.

The best teams from first to sixth place will be promoted and will participate in the Ukrainian women's premier league championship next season.

Group A:

2. Volodymyr Sports Lyceum (Volodymyr, Volyn region).
3. 'Minai' (Minai, Transcarpathian region).
4. 'Nadbugzhia' (Busk, Lviv region).
5. 'Prikarpattya-DUSSH No. 3' (Ivano-Frankivsk).
6. 'Rukh' (Lviv).
7. 'Pohorina' (Kostopil, Rivne region).
8. 'Yantarochka' (Novoyavorivsk, Lviv region).

Group B:

1. 'Atex' (Kyiv).
2. 'Zhaivir' (Shpola, Cherkasy region).
3. Zhytomyr Regional Sports Lyceum (Zhytomyr).
4. 'Lider' (Kobelyaki, Poltava region).
5. 'Metalist 1925-2' (Kharkiv).
6. 'Mariupol' (Donetsk region).
7. DUSSH 'Podil' (Kyiv).
8. 'Yunost' (Chernihiv).

In the second qualifying round of the Champions League, 'Dynamo' will meet with the winner of the pair 'Zhalgiris' (Lithuania) - 'Hamrun Spartans' (Malta). Matches in this stage will take place on July 22/23 and 29/30.

The first match will be held away, while the second will be considered a home game for Kyiv.
