Suspicion of Beating in Poltava
Employees of the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) notified the suspects of the accusation of beating a resident of Kyiv in a Poltava restaurant. This was reported by the SBI's communications advisor, Tetyana Sapyan.
The SBI spokesperson reported that three men, including a local law enforcement officer and a well-known businessman with a criminal past, were detained and notified of suspicion under Article 296, part two of the Criminal Code - "hooliganism committed by a group of persons".
According to Sapyan, in the near future, the prosecution is likely to request a preventive measure - 24-hour house arrest.
According to information from their own sources, Oleksandr Perelyu, the deputy head of the criminal police department of the Luben district police department of the National Police in the Poltava region, is accused of beating a Kyiv resident who came to the city with a girl.
Recall that a conflict occurred in a Poltava restaurant, resulting in bodily harm to one of the men. The police officer present at the scene has been suspended from service duties for the duration of the investigation.
