Emergency power outages canceled in Ukraine (updated).

Emergency power outages in Ukraine have been canceled
Ukrenergo has reported that emergency power outages, which were implemented in the morning, have already been canceled. The process of restoring electricity supply for de-energized consumers is underway. Due to the drop in temperature, electricity consumption has increased, so Ukrenergo urges not to turn on several powerful electrical appliances simultaneously until 10:00 PM.
According to initial reports, the power outages only affected Kyiv, the Kyiv region, and Dnipropetrovsk. However, later Ukrenergo announced that emergency power outages are being implemented across Ukraine. Industrial consumers and businesses are prioritized, while restrictions for residential consumers apply only in specific cases (except in emergency situations in the power grids of regional energy companies).
Russia's attack on energy facilities
On February 12, 2025, Russia launched an attack on Kyiv and Kryvyi Rih using ballistic missiles 'Iskander-M' and Shahed-type drones. 6 'Iskander-M' missiles and 71 Shahed drones were shot down in various regions of Ukraine. Fortunately, the energy system was not affected by this.
Power restrictions for industry and business
On February 11, power restrictions for industry and business were introduced from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM and from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM. This occurred due to the damage to energy facilities during previous Russian attacks. Energy workers are working on restoring damaged equipment to return it to operation as soon as possible.
In light of these circumstances, citizens are urged to use electricity wisely and refrain from turning on several powerful electrical appliances simultaneously.
