Prisoner exchange: how Ukrainian soldiers look after two years of captivity
On September 13 and 14, exchanges of prisoners were held between Russia and Ukraine. Over these two days, 152 Ukrainians returned home. Photographers Konstantin and Vlada Liberov shared images showing what Ukrainian soldiers look like after two years in captivity.
In these photos, you see Ukrainian military personnel who returned from Russian captivity a few days ago after being held for over two years. These are those who agreed to be photographed.
The photos show that Ukrainians have lost a lot of weight, and their bodies are covered in wounds.

Recall that on September 14, Ukraine managed to return 103 Ukrainian soldiers from Russian captivity: 82 privates and sergeants, 21 officers. Defenders of Kyiv region, Donetsk, Mariupol and «Azovstal», Luhansk region, Zaporizhia, Kharkiv region. Soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard of Ukraine, border guards, police officers.
By the way, on September 13, 49 civilians and military personnel returned from Russian captivity to Ukraine. Among the released are soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard, the National Police, the State Border Service, as well as civilians.
Also, for the first Time in more than a year, fighters of «Azov» returned from Russian captivity. However, more than 900 «Azov» members are currently held in captivity by the Russian Federation.
